being a fan of something and having a crap fandom is like standing in the middle of a party and everyone is loud, obnoxious and rude and occasionally spits acid in your face but your friends are there, the music is excellent, and there’s lots of food, and there’s great wifi so you don’t really wanna leave so you kind of just stand there going
anime art styles where the eyes are so low and the mouth and nose so high that they’re almost all on the same plane are terrifying
NO YOU’RE NOT YOU’RE HORRIFYING
oh my sweet lord.
i can never take anything seriously ever again.
OH MY GOD I JUST DROPPED MY PHONE
Despite thriving in solitude, I still fear my friends forgetting me. Introversion and my solitary habits only reinforce this anxiety.
It’s one of the very few fears I have not yet conquered in my life, and I don’t know if I can without removing the part of me that cares so much for them.

Advice from some kick-ass ladies [more here]
All the more power to you ladies, but this shits me.
perhaps it is different at ComicCon or even different over in America. but every con i have attended thus far has always had a pretty equal ratio of Male/Female artists more often than not leaning on the side of a Female majority.
My artistic competition has always been largely females and dear i say it, it makes me feel like a minority being a creative guy that draws.
So why the fuck are we playing the victim on this. it just comes off as sexist to offer advice only for women only by women in a market that really has no oppression braced on gender.
i acknowledge that ComicCon and nerd culture has a pretty serious misogyny problem, particularly when you look at the casual abuse of cosplayers, gamers and the whole ‘fake geek girl’ bullshit. but artists seem to be a different story.
don’t get me wrong, I’m not here to preach that we need more articals of “advice for male artists from male artists”. but how about some of that equality that we are always so quick to ask for, how bout: “Advice for Upcoming artists by exhibiting Artists”
